Think Happy thoughts!

I am trying to think of happy thoughts and remain calm as my girls are taking every toy out in the toy room and refuse to clean up.

Which road continued.

This past week was an unusually chaotic week for myself. My hubby was out of town, sessions, editing, being a taxi driver, the typical life of a mom. Maybe it just seemed more chaotic because we are waiting to hear some news about my husband’s job which is causing a little bit of stress in my life. TO top it off I was working on my computer to edit photos, had an error pop up in one of my programs and POOF! Some of the essential tools I use to edit all my photos were GONE!!! I Thought I saved everything was saved on my computer and did find a few things but still was missing a lot. I could have cried, and may actually have I don’t remember. Heck I don’t even know what day it is today that is the kind of week it was.

After searching every file on my computer, external hard drive, and under the couch cushions I emailed one of the people I bought my tools from, Nichole V. My hopes were up that she may help me out but I also understood if she choose not to let me download the tools again. This is were the below photo comes in:

road less traveled

“Two roads diverged in a wood and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” ~Robert Frost

I sent a “pleading” email :-) knowing it states in the purchase agree of the particular tool Nichole does not replace lost or damaged downloaded products. I even agree with her policies but I thought why not try the worst this person is going to say is sorry, right. WELL, she didn’t say no, she asked if I could prove my purchases, which I could, and she sent me a new link. Nichole’s generosity of helping my out, without knowing me from the next person touched me. This person took the road a lot of people don’t in business and I can’t thank her enough!!!

The second part of the story of the above photos comes from Denise owner of Matilda Jane Clothing. It’s no secret I LOVE LOVE LOVE her clothes. I used to plan my July 4th vacation around the Plymouth Art Fair just so we could make it to her booth. :-) She used to have children’s furniture which I loved until her clothing line took off. ;-) So about a month ago I hosted a MJC trunk after receiving emails about the clothes I previously purchased at another trunk show. I made my purchase, took photos of the adorable outfits and posted them here. Denise asked for permission to post some of the photos on her blog which I excitedly approved. It’s not everyday someone you admire asks to use your photos for gosh sakes.

A few days ago I get an email from Denise stating they package my Trunk Show order and there is a little surprise for me. Could the Postal Carrier been any slower delivering my packages???? :-) I had NO clue what the surprise was, really. On Thursday evening I remember to get the mail and there was this huge package with my order from MJC. I opened it up and found all this:

Now some of the outfits I ordered but there was ENTIRE OUTFIT and BAG I didn’t order and a kind note from Denise. I mean who does this kind of stuff, an ENTIRE OUTFIT!!!!! and a BAG. Denise couldn’t have made me more happy or stunned. I am still sit on awe of her generosity and kindness.

So the whole point of this was when I took the very first photo the poem about the two roads immediately came to me. The news stations seems to only report the bad things that happen in life. People tend to spread the negative things that happen to them faster than water runs from the faucet. How often do we hear about the good things people do. Both of the above women mentioned are successful business owners and did not have to do what they did, but they did it anyway. There were no hidden agendas, only to be kind and put a smile on my face. I thank you both more than any words can ever say.

:-) Amy. I did too. I started to hope the packages wouldn’t arrive when Chris was home because he might see the receipt. LOL! Now I have to stay away form the “look Book” until the fall collection.

i had this really great photographer who did the same thing for a friend of mine! my friend wanted to make me a locket with photos of my children in it. she called the photographer who took pictures of my children and this woman actually gave her little copies that could fit in the locket….. free! maybe what you give is what you receive!

Great new music. Robert Frost.. bet you didn’t realize I know the poem by heart and have since high school.

Wish I lived closer. Sorry I’m not more help. Maybe they can come home with me for the summer! You’d miss them after a hour or two! Day? Week? You’d never make a month.
