July, 2008
For a while now, my family and I have been up in the air about whether or not we will be transferred to the UK. It has been months of the status changing literally on a day to day basis, so I haven’t said much. WELL, yesterday Chris came home and said we are NOT moving. With all the budget cuts going on in the automotive industry it’s just not the right time to send us.
I can honestly say I am a little dissappointed with the whole situation. My emotions have been so up and down about the whole thing it’s hard to explain. We all were looking forward to being able to travel throughout Europe on weekends and holiday breaks. At the same time, there was a lot we would have had to give up. Chris and I tend to always play it safe and this would have been a big move for us, kind of exciting really. BUT now it’s someting we don’t have to worry about. My business will go on as usual, the girls will start school in the fall and we will be here to elect a new President (which is totally a different topic!!).
Thank you all for being understanding when you tried to call and book a session and I was not able to do it for you due to the possible transfer. I am the kind of person who finds the good in any situation and here is what I have learned…
1. live in the moment
2. don’t book session more than 3 months in advance, which is what will happen in 2009.
3. family is what matters most
4. Relax, God is in control! (a bumper sticker I say when I really really needed the reminder:-) )
5. to purge my life of things I thought I needed but do not!
To go along with number 5, I am going to have a contest soon. The details are still being worked out!
Finally, because I always love to add photos to my enteries…
Happy Birthday to the best dog in the whole world! She is 10y old today and NO grey hair.
On a side note: if you are in the Madison WI area and looking for a wonderful custom photographer, Funky Monkey Photography is having an open house August 17th 1-4pm stop by and say Hello to Justyna for me!!!!
I could wait to get home and look at these photos from this morning. When I walked in the P. family home to meet little H. I founf her to be so tiny and perfect. It’s so hard not to stare in amazement at newborns, I love shooting them. H. was so so patient with me and all the fussing we did to get her in the poses.
E. and M. you all were so wonderful and fun to work with. I hope you Love the images!!! I do. ;-D
I am working on a few more to post as long as my darling family doesn’t come in and demand I spend time with them.
Unscripted Moments Photography photographys maternity, newborns, children, and families. If your newborn is under two weeks and you would like a session contact me. I try to fit newborn sessions into my schedule as needed.

That does sound like a roller coaster of emotions. Glad you have alittle direction atleast for now. God always knows the plans He has for us. Maybe you’ll move there in the future. I think it would be kinda cool to live overseas. Can’t wait to hear the contest info.
Your dog is so sweet!

I’m also glad you’ll be staying, though sad I won’t see any cobblestoned alley photos from you, which would have been phenominal. and if you’re only booking 3 months at a time I’ll be able to catch you next year
love a good contest! can’t wait….

p.s. just because he wasn’t transferred doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t take some time to get acquainted with the places that COULD be your home someday… Live in the moment.

E… funny you mention this. I was talking with a friend this morning who was transferred to the UK in March, I told her we are gong to have to plan a vacation to see everything. I had already psyched myself up for the flight I might as well go and see something.
Live in the moment is right.
