My kids have Halloween on their brains. Last night we went to the Henry Ford Greenfield Village Hallowe’en Nights. It’s an annual tradition in our home now. R. looks forward to this event every year. So much so, I had to instill a rule of now talking about Halloween until October 1st.

H. was brushing her teeth this morning then came into my bedroom, holding the corner of her mouth open, and mumbling. I couldn’t understand what she was saying, did she hurt her teeth, what? Well she finally go out “do I have VAMPIRE teeth?” referring to her cuspids. She went on to add, “they look like vampire teeth.” Sometimes it’s all I can do to NOT laugh out loud when they say stuff like this. What do you think, Does she have vampire teeth?

She really did ask those questions. :-) The pretend vampire teeth are from our neighbor. I was telling her how R. wanted to have vampire teeth while we were waiting for the school bus. Well she went Halloween shopping yesterday and picked up a set of new chompers for all the kids. What a sweet neighbor. :-)

Not only was she nice enough to pick up the pearly whites for the kids, she gave us free tickets to go and see the Backyardigan’s at the Masonic Temple this morning!! The girls enjoyed the show. Chris and I just liked going back to downtown Detroit. Once you look past certain disturbances it is a wonderful city. We weren’t allowed to have have camera’s so no photos from that. :-)
