The weekend

Monday mornings while I sit in the kitchen waiting for the girls to wake, I peruse blogs and always notice the lovely photos others have taken in the past week or over the weekend. This morning I wanted to share my Mother’s Day images and random shots from the past week.   Yesterday, while having…

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!

18/52 [we weren't born to follow]

This morning, there was a one-sided conversation had with my eldest daughter about what she was going to wear to school. She participates in an after school activity a few days a week and before it started she repeatedly told us she needed to have specific shoes/clothes for the activity. Understanding the want to be…

:) Jade when I was younger, I was very shy and cautious. I remember not speaking up and following all the rules. Yet, if you ask me a question I’m going to give you an honest answer. Even now, I have a hard time with larger group settings and meeting new people…it’s easy to go about my own business, enjoy the things I do and meet people with the same interests. Conversations and friendships then occur naturally and honestly.

When I was student teaching, I saw things like this ALL THE TIME. Like you, when I was younger I never strayed from who I was or begged my parents for something because I wanted to fit in. I just never felt the need to. But, unlike you, I was kind of shy and rarely spoke up. I guess that’s the lone artist in me :)

16/52 [die another day] : Analog Ambass”adore”

Thank you Amanda!

Your film photos are lovely, Kim!
Yeah, you can be pretty amazed at what film can do even if your metering is off.
Love the Impossible shot of the little one in the pool!

These are fantastic! I’ve always wanted to shoot an entire trip on film but I would be so nervous that I was going to mess them up. I recently came back from Vegas and only took a handful of pictures the short time I was there. And they aren’t nearly as great as these. Not even close.

@ Renee and Melissa I find myself shooting primarily film on vacations. The only reason I brought my digital camera was to get one photo for my 52 wk project, but then I didn’t do that because we were always on the go. :)

All the colors are gorgeous, so soulful and filled with depth. That is the reason why I love shooting film. I have been leaving my digital in the room more and more, and just shooting film. Always enjoy your photos, and yes I LOVE Old School Photo Lab. :)

Blogged You’re It!!

The lovely Meghan Davidson of Life Refocused tagged me to share in a fun Blog game. I’ve never been tagged before, and while I’m sitting here fighting the flu I thought it would be fun to play along. Don’t worry, the best part of this kind of tag…you can’t catch the flu by me touching…
